I sort of hate for people to see this, but it's so
important that they do to realize what this war
agenda and privatization of war really is. It's a
video of a british private defense contractor driving
down the road killing innocent civilians for sport.
It's horrible and sad. I hate it, but I had to post
it here.

Why We Fight

For my serious link of
the month, I'll start out by showing you the US
budget as a dollar, and then show you why we spend so
much. Why We Fight is an excellent documentary by
the BBC that explores the military industrial
complex which Dwight D. Eisenhower warned against
in his farewell speech “Beware the military
industrial complex”.
No conspiracy theories or anything too radical, just a straightforward description of the US war machine and why it must be constantly fed. Really just common sense stuff, but it explains the end to end process very well, and you don’t have access to stuff this good in the US in general, so maybe it might surprise someone.. Check it out. If you have a laptop you can hook up to your tv, you can download the whole thing and watch it there in fullscreen.
